Latest Philly Cops Busted: Adds Credibility to Mumia Abu Jamal Being Synonymous With Rail Road

Over the weekend a 25 year Philadelphia Police Veteran was arrested by the FBI in what has been called an extortion scheme. The Top Cop bust has come on the heels of a barrage of arrest of Philadelphia’s so called finest. In recent months dozens of Philly Police Officers have been caught in Internal Investigation stings ranging from robbery, drug soliciting, and prostitution rings. We have heard it all before, not just in Philly, but around the nation as rogue cops engage in criminal activity as if it were just another day on the job. This latest crack down on Philly Cops does comes as a shock too many familiar with the long standing reputation that the Philadelphia Police has acquired over the years as a racist and corrupt agency. Few remember the particularly violent stint that occurred in Philly during the Post Civil Rights Era, when Police Brutality was the order of the day in a Mobbed Up Frank Rizzo Police Department. Also many are still mindful of the Move Bombing, in which Pennsylvania State Police got authorization to drop a Bomb on the Move Nationalist Head Quarters Compound in North Philadelphia, and allowing the fire to burn until a complete City Block was leveled. The Mayor, Wilson Goode, the Police Chief took much criticism over the incident, but it would be the Fire Chief who would take the ultimate blame. Citing the loss of life which many were children within the Move Compound, the incident heightened tensions within the Black Community, and highlighted what many called just another racist act carried out by a Racist Philly Police State.

However, many are probably more aware of the 28 year plight of Internationally recognized Journalist, former Black Panther, and so called Convicted Cop Killer Mumia Abu Jamal. Mumia has been on Death Row since 1982 for allegedly killing a Philadelphia Police Officer. Mumia’s case has drawn support from World Leaders Mikhail Gorbachev,  Bishop Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, The French Prime Minister, and other National Figures alike. At issue is the fact that many of the so called witness’ who testified against Mumia, have sinced recanted their stories, and have stated they were coerced into lieing by Corrupt Philly Cops. The Judge in the case was overheard stating,”I’m gonna help them (Police) fry that nigger”. He apparently did so as blacks were excluded from the Jury Pool. Not only that, but there has since been a man named Arnold Beverly, who has come forward and admitted to the killing of Officer Faulkner in which Mumia is now on Death Row for. Beverly also says he was hired by Mobbed up Philly Cops who wanted the young Faulkner out of the way, because he was interfering with Mob Business. One of te key parts of Beverly’s statement that adds serious credibility to his claims is that, he admits that he and another person committed the murder on Faulkner. This appears to be crucial evidence, because there was one witness who reported seeing two Black men running away from the scene after Faulkner had been shot. Moreover, though Philly cops say that Mumia’s gun which he was licensed to carry was on the ground right next to him, the bullet retrieved from Faulkner’s body was not the caliber of Mumia’s gun. There also was no ballistic testing of Mumia’s weapon nor was there any test conducted to determine whether Mumia had fired a weapon on the night of the Faulkner Killing. So, just like in many other criminal cases that we are now learning about when the convicted was unjustly charged, the recent arrest of Bad Cops in a Town with a Notorious reputation for corruption, those who are in doubt about the plight of Mumia Abu Jamal should simply reconsider the facts of the case. I have never heard of a Capital Murder Case where the real killer comes forward, yet the wrongly accused is not set free. America’s last Political Prisoner Mumia Abu Jamal will forever be synonymous with the term “Rail Road”! Free Mumia Now!
