It’s a scenario straight out of an epic mob film script. A scene that has’ been meted out time and time again when the feds come knocking to round-up perps wanted in federal indictments for organized crime. Crime figures settle their pending charges out of court by whacking underworld cronies they see as weak, potentially being flip by authorities, and potential snitchers that could get the crew pinched. One of the main reasons that the street code of silence has endured for so long is because people fear retribution for talking to the cops and being branded as a snitch. This made for T.V. kind of drama has manifested itself into the mainstream of American culture. Even some of the most heinous crimes of our time hasn’t  spurred cooperation from law-abiding citizens that are in the know. In the case of Honors Teen Phylicia Barnes the same code of silence has been evoked by potential witnesses who could provide information to help cops solve this murder mystery and nail her killers for good. Somebody knows something but has yet to come forward. The “Twitter Girl” as she has been dubbed by followers of this case, just maybe one of these very people who can break the entire investigation wide open. Danisha McIntosh’ tweet on January 28, 2011 has become one of the most intriguing pieces of information that has surfaced since the cops discovered nude images of young Phylicia and others on a cell phone  belonging to a male close to the case.The subject tweet, “It’s trapped at the dam don’t pull the lever” has become an intense focal point of many within the public who wonder why authorities haven’t acted on that information which was given to the cops by a citizen.  A source close to the investigation confirmed that attempts have been made to reach out to the young woman, but cops have yet to successfully contact her.  The word on the streets is that young Danisha is lying low, and she just may have justification for doing so. Candidly speaking, this woman who is the ex-girl friend, still good friend of Dorian Carpenter, and Glenton “Bootz” Johnson, has some explaining to do. Her reference to a dam 3 1/2 months before Phylicia’s nude body being discovered near the Coniwingo Dam in Northern Maryland, is suspect, extremely coincidental, and very problematic simply because of her association with two of the males who were regulars at Deena Barnes’ apartment where the child went missing.  The tweet could be mere coincidence, but it isn’t very convincing that her comment on twitter has no relationship to the murder of Phylicia Simone Barnes. In fact, her tweet tends to confirm that she was told something about the murder, was there at the time the body was disposed of, or even may have participated in the child’s killing herself. Consequently, she may be the weakest link,  now extremely vulnerable to falling prey to murder herself in an effort by other suspects to silence her, and it is advisable that she remain constantly vigilant  of her personal safety. Assuming Danisha isn’t complicit in what ever happen to Phylicia, we must conclude that the killers won’t hesitate to bring her to the exact same demise that resulted in the tragic ending of  very promising kid. Also, we see similarities in Danisha and Phylicia’s. On Danisha’s Facebook page we have learned that she is a Baltimore Polytechnic High School Alum (has certain G>P.A. enrollment prerequisite), Coppin State University student, and employed as a cashier at Shoe City. Just like Phylicia, the young woman appears to have goals, motivated, and doing productive things to secure her place as a model citizen in society. However, it appears that a seemingly good kid has fallen prey to the lures of the street and landed herself in the midst of a murder investigation. What is it about these  obvious losers that continue to attract promising young women into their culture of drugs, guns, and violence. Many may offer the “good girl bad boy” rationalization. It’s just not sound thinking to sacrifice hard work and dedication for social status among a group of fake thugs with nothing and who are going nowhere in life. Our young people make mistakes, bad decisions in life, and often times to such an extent that their actions are not repairable. In this case that isn’t entirely true. There is still time to correct a wrong. This perspective leads me to ponder the true character of  this young woman and others who may be involved in Phylicia’s murder. It’s just plain stupid to cover for someone who has committed murder when you are not involved. Only a person with no conscious could conceal such a violent crime and sleep well at night. I’m convinced that those who know something are in fact not without fear, depression, and watching over their shoulders at every turn in their lives.  You must seek redemption for yourself, for Phylicia, and for her grieving family. Anyone can follow the trend of popular behavior, but it takes an exceptional person to do the right thing, even in the face of fear, ridicule, and disparity. The opposite is aiding and abetting these killers and I ask what is there to gain from this.  Perhaps there is a mindset that this entire matter will just simply go away. I assure you that it won’t. Moreover, the authorities are probably watching your every move. Those responsible may want to silence you for ever and if this thought hasn’t crossed your mind, you are in for a rude awakening. Fear of falling victim to violence isn’t your only troubles though. If you give false statements to the Police, and it is determined later that you knowingly lied, you more than likely will be charged for hindering the investigation, accessory to the crime after the fact, and possibly murder as well. You will go to prison just like the very people responsible for this murder. I will simply say, don’t be stupid, turn the bastards in, finish this now, and go on with your productive life.

It’s a little tricky I will admit. lol There are two ways to access the comment section of this new layout. Users could simply click the heading of any article that they wish to comment on or they could click the Article’s count tab located at the top left corner of every article. There are actually two tabs there. One is the date tab, and the article comment count is just below the date tab. It’s some what transparent and difficult to see. Take a look at the image below. The red arrows shows the ares users can click to access the comment section of every article.

On December 28, 2011 the one year anniversary in the disappearance of Monroe, N.C. Honors Teen Phylicia Barnes, her Step Father and real Dad Raheem Mustafa reached out to me and expressed concerns regarding comments made by Barnes Family members pertaining to his daughter’s murder case. Mustafa stated that there are lies being told and that he has grown tired of hearing them. The grieving dad who for the most part has remained silent during the course of this entire murder mystery has requested that much of our discussion remain off the record, and I will only mention the pertinent details that he has authorized me to discuss publicly. Mustafa indicated that his family continue to be deeply moved and saddened by the sudden and tragic lost of their promising daughter Simone. He has been silent because remaining focused on providing for his family, comforting their remaining kids, and his wife Janice Sallis-Musatfa continues to be his top priority. He advised me that he doesn’t do “Social Media”, but he became upset and angered by comments on the TPC Blog that he finally began to read. Mr. Mustafa echoed his wife Janice’ rebuttal to a debut post that Bryan Barnes made in response to a TPC article in which she gave a perspective on the case. He initially addressed Bryan Barnes’ comment pertaining to when he and Janice arrived in Baltimore. Mustafa advised me that when he was first informed that Simone was missing, he was actually on the job on the road, and had to drive back to North Carolina. Due to the nature of his work and the distance and time he traveled, it was imperative for him to rest prior to escorting his wife to Baltimore. Mustafa did not have to share that with me because it’s completely understandable that working families need to prepare to travel on an unexpected emergency. There were vital preparations that needed to be made like obtaining supervision for their other minor children. Mustafa also addressed Bryans’ comments about the Barnes having waited on him and Janice hand and foot. He explained that he covered the entire bill for their lodging at a hotel and their meals. The Barnes didn’t contribute in any way. Mustafa said he never saw any incidents where the Barnes family participated in searching for Simone during the time that they were in Baltimore. Mustafa made it a point that Harry Watson, a relative of the Barnes’, was the only Barnes that met with them. He also indicated that his other Daughter Shauntel Sallis called a friend in New York who contacted relatives and friends in Baltimore, and “a young brother” showed up in minutes to help us such for “our baby Simone”. Mustafa expressed complete gratitude to the young man for helping them drive the streets of Baltimore looking for their child. “I have the upmost respect for that young brother for doing that”, he said. Mustafa went on to say that all of those people (20-30) who were at Deena’s apartment just sat around socializing while they were combing the streets of Baltimore in some of the grittiest parts of town looking for Simone. He also addressed Bryan’s concern that they only stayed a few days and never returned to help search for Phylicia. Mustafa said he was concerned for his wife, because she was so desperate to find their child that she began walking up to strangers asking about Simone. “You know you can’t walk up to strange people in a place like Baltimore. Janice was about to lose her mind looking for her. No Man would allow their wife to go through that, and I knew I had to get her out of their”. Mustafa also explained that they were concerned about their other children they had left in North Carolina. “She had to get back to her kids, and I was running out of money because we paid for everything we needed while we were there”. Although Janice simply expressed her opinions in reference to what Bryan Barnes had to say on the TPC Blog, but Mustafa took his perspective another level. Mustafa forwarded a document to me that was given to Janice by Deena on the day that they arrived in Baltimore. It was a single piece of paper with the name Christopher Briscoe at the top and contained a timeline of events that allegedly occurred on the day young Simone went missing. Mustafa conveyed complete discuss that an itinerary had been composed. “Who writes an itinerary about something like this”, Mustafa said. I agreed with him, not just that the document was disturbing, but it appeared that a collective effort by Barnes Family members was being made to shield Deena from any involvement in Simone’s disappearance. The itinerary contradicts statements that Deena and kelly both made on the “Peas In Their Pods” broadcast. Take a look for yourselves:

I purposely took some time to write about my interview with Raheem Mustafa because I wanted to do some thorough research into some of the things that he shared with me. There were several things Mustafa wanted me to look into and I’ll get into some of that later in this post. The itinerary jumped out at me instantly when I received it. During the “Peas” broadcast Deena Barnes was asked by the Host to clarify reports in the media that Phylicia was seen sleeping on some one on the couch. Deena’s response was adamant that she wasn’t sleeping on any one. We can clearly see according to the itinerary that the document’s composer wrote, “1 04 mike text Deena to say Sympone feel asleep on him”. I actually played the broadcast back several times to be accurate, and during the “Peas” interview at about the 17:18 mark, Deena strongly denied that account. Why would the composer of the itinerary note such an account on the document and give it to Janice if it wasn’t accurate. I can understand confusion about dates and times, but if someone reported seeing Phylicia asleep on Michael Johnson, I am sure there wouldn’t be any confusion regarding that eyewitness account especially considering the fact that the child went missing. The co-host asked Kelly what time she communicated with Phylicia that day and Kelly stated around the same time Deena had previously stated, at 10:00 a.m. I was confused by her response as well because the itinerary indicates that the first communication Kelly had with Phylicia was actually at 12:35 according to the itinerary. The itinerary’s account also contradicts Deena’s early comments that Phylicia had talked to Kelly earlier that morning regarding the hair appointment. Also, Deena was asked if she communicated with Michael Johnson after 3:00 p.m. on that day and Deena indicated that she heard from MJ at 6:10 p.m. However, the itinerary disputes those comments as well. The itinerary indicates that Michael texted Deena at 5:10 p.m. to say “Symone was up and active” and highlighted “*he never says symone is not at the apt”. A close look at the itinerary and considering all that we know so far about the Barnes sister’ account, it’s obvious there are even more inconsistencies in the women’s story. We could probably dismiss some of their accounts as a result of nervousness during a live broadcast, but it isn’t convincing that some of these details were not in the forefront of their memory. How do you forget that Michael told you Phylicia was up and active? Why didn’t Deena include the “going to get something to eat” comment during the “Peas” Interview? I am glad Mustafa made the document public because it establishes as a fact, the confusion surrounding their account, and justifies the public’ suspicion of the older Barnes females. Mustafa was also concerned that the public has only talked about the “Peas In Their Pods” broadcast with Simone’s siblings. He wanted it to be known that the “Peas” interview with Russell Barnes was even more disturbing. I listened to that broadcast as well and I won’t comment on it because it simply lacked any substance on his part what so ever. I walked away from that interview feeling Russell Barnes should never have been interviewed. You can listen to it here. The interview also entailed discussions about our children and our personal lives. Mustafa talked about his daughter’s memory a little and said, “One of my fondest memories about my baby was when I used to pick her up from school, and the first thing she wanted to do was go by the airport and watch the planes take off. She always kept her head to the skies”.

After following the Phylicia Barnes case from the beginning I have a pretty good picture, idea, and view of the case from the facts and evidence presented, the opinions of myself and the facts and opinions of others. I feel as though there are some major players in the case of the investigation of the young, beautiful, promising Phylicia. Therefore . . . I am going to address them below as I feel they all and each in their own ways contributed to the delinquency, disappearance, murder, cover up, hindering, and delaying of justice for the Phylicia Barnes Investigation.

Phylicia Simone Barnes

A beautiful, bright, intelligent, promising young lady with a big heart who loved and trusted freely. A young lady’s whose life was cut way too short for absolutely no reason. She was set to graduate May of 2011 and begin college shortly thereafter. Her disappearance and murder was ranked #1 senseless murder by the Huffington Post. We all know the story of the sweet, precious Phylicia Simone Barnes that has given her a special place in all our hearts.

Deena Barnes

The lying, conniving, two-faced half-sister of Phylicia Barnes who have failed and betrayed Phylicia in life and death. She deceived Phylicia’s mother from the beginning by gaining Mrs. Janice’s trust through lies and deception. She had Mrs. Janice under the impression that she was a pharmacy tech and nursing student living alone and under the perfect conditions for Phylicia to come and visit her several times. When in reality Deena’s apartment was no way near what she described and led to her being evicted when the truth came out after Phylicia’s disappearance and murder. The apartment manager at Reistersquare Apartments where Deena, Mike, and numerous thugs resided on and off was the worst conditions Phylicia or anyone, for that matter could live in and endure. Deena at some point notified her father Russell Barnes of Phylicia’s disappearance and he supposedly drove 11 hours as soon as he found out from Georgia to Maryland. The bewildering factor is that if she disappeared on the 28th and it was an 11 hour drive, how in the world could Russell drive there and get there that evening when she was reported missing that same evening. That is impossible which means that more than likely she went missing the 27th, and the whole next day invented and created by her and Michael was created as a cover up. The twitter tweets between various Johnson’s is extremely shocking and alarming, especially when you read the comments on this blog about the Social Media tweets between them and then go these guys twitter sites for yourself. Back to Deena . . . she admitted to Phylicia’s mother that she contributed to the delinquency of a minor by allowing the young, vulnerable Phylicia to drink vodka and smoke weed. Deena told Phylicia’s mother that her reason was to allow Phylicia to open up. At first that didn’t make any sense to me. But when the various pictures surfaced with vodka, alcohol, weed filled parties at Deena’s apartment with various pictures of Deena, Phylicia, Mike, and the other Johnsons. One picture even pictured an infant in a car seat within eye sight of all of that. You can see the various women dazed and drunken, which makes you wonder how in the world can they even take care of the poor child. That screams child abuse to me. Deena has been too quiet and silent for this young sweetie to have disappeared on her watch and from her apartment. She and her ex boyfriend Mike started verbal attacks and blaming games, but they both quickly fell silent. Deena filed a restraining order that was denied by the judge and Mike hired an attorney and the both of them fell silent. Which can only make you wonder exactly what they have on each other. Deena has been videoed and photographed at various events held in Phylicia’s memory in which she showed no sympathy, empathy, or compassion. She even sounded like she had a down right en-joyous , delightful time during a Peas In Their Pod Interview with her other siblings Kelly & Bryan until callers started calling in, then she mysteriously hung up the phone in a hurry leaving Kelly & Bryan to defend her and fend for themselves. That was a bad move because neither of them could answer the questions like Deena could have. Also you could hear disturbing whispering when she wasn’t sounding amused and like she was enjoying the show. She also thought it was funny that doves were flown for Phylicia. Another question raised is if she was truly a pharmacy tech and if their inventory was affected being that they all seemed to enjoy various drugs and alcohols. She also was photographed and video-graphed streaking and running nude inside and outside of her apartment with her baby sister, Mike and the Johnson clan. She also seemingly was hell-bent on those house shoes Phylicia wasn’t supposed to wear in the snow. I wonder what significance they played in the story?!?!  If Deena would like to maintain her innocence, why not go to the police department and request a polygraph. Just go to the police and tell them you want to take a polygraph on record and come clean. That will best to implicate you if indeed you are being honest and you have nothing to hide.

Michael Johnson

The ex boyfriend of Deena Barnes, now boyfriend and baby mother of Tabatha Fickling. He was reportedly the last person to have seen Phylicia alive. He was also said to have been carrying and struggling with a heavy tote by some neighbors in Deena’s old apartment complex at Reistersquare Apartments, in which the dog lost the scent at the curb where reportedly his car was parked. There has been many stories told by him as to why he was even at the apartment. He supposedly was moving out the last of his things, washing clothes, picking up a cousin, picking up a brother, various stories as we have heard. Only Michael can answer that. Him and Deena was in a tick for tack word fest in which both of them quickly fell silent in which Deena tried to unsuccessfully take out a restraining order on him and he lawyered up. He has also created a new Facebook page under Maurice Johnson in which he has 11 friends and conveniently does not list his cousin William Johnson (Kraz) as a friend. It can only lead one to wonder if this was a tactic suggested by his lawyer, even though he still has his page Let’s Go Half as well. If him and Deena was on such bad terms that he was leaving the apartment. Why in the world would he be still staying there for 3 nights, especially if he was supposedly the last person to see Phylicia alive. He was also streaking nude inside and outside of Deena’s apartment with Deena’s baby sister, Deena, and the Johnson clan. The best thing Michael can do is to go and take a polygraph with his lawyer present on record and see what happens.

Russell Barnes

Dead beat dad of Phylicia Barnes who was an absent father for years. He was never involved in school and family activities. He orchestrated this “Staying Focused Campaign” in which he has included various public figures around Baltimore into his plot. He has constantly tried to stay in the limelight and in front of video cameras and digital camera trying to get any kind of media attention possible. He shamefully went to Phylicia’s high school where she would have already been graduated from almost a year later with an entourage of media surrounding him. One can only question why in the world would he do that? What in the world was he thinking? He never made it to a PTA meeting, school play, awards ceremony, nothing, but made himself present almost a year later. Most of her friends would have graduated with her. That is still a puzzling thought in my book. He also said he drove from Georgia to Maryland on the 28th as soon as he found out that Phylicia was missing. Well that makes you wonder. They didn’t report her missing until the afternoon of the 28th and it took him about 11 hours to drive there, so that means she was actually missing on the 27th. He called his half-brother who is a police to the scene. It makes you wonder if it was to help destroy evidence or if it was to help obstruct or delay justice. Both of them surely knew better than to do that. I would think that an officer would get clearance before going into a situation like that. Russell has constantly tried to bash Phylicia’s mother who did an excellent job raising Phylicia as we all know with the help of Phylicia’s step-father, the only real “father figure” she knew. And it’s only evidenced by the wonderful, studious person Phylicia Barnes is and was. Now that the streaking photos of Deena’s apartment inside and outside, the pictures of Deena, Mike, and various members of the clan are out, along with the living conditions of Deena’s apartment, what does Russell have to say now? Are you still focused Russell? If yes, on what? Do the right thing and turn Deena in. It didn’t and shouldn’t have resorted to this. Let down your pride Russell. Pride falleth before the man . . .

Kelly Barnes

Another half sibling of Phylicia Barnes. Who at first was said to have been at the apartment on the 27th, but later recanted her statement to displace herself at the apartment on the 27th. Which again leads me to believe something happened on the 27th and that’s when the disappearance actually happened. Her and Deena both had so many plans for Phylicia that day, but everything fell threw and we can only begin to wonder why. She was in the Peas In Their Pod Interview as well and was the last man standing even after Bryan got off the phone. She said she was at work on the 28th, but a co-worker of hers tweeted that Kelly indeed did not show up to work that day. So it makes you wonder why did the plans fall through for little Phylicia that day. How could someone be so careless and reckless to not to check on her, especially if they haven’t heard from her all day. It also makes you wonder why, and leads you to believe that story was invented by them as a cover up. Perhaps . . . Phylicia disappeared on the 27th and not the 28th as they have tried to make up. And perhaps that was somebody else updating her Facebook page on the 28th, especially considering it was late. She also got knocked up sometime during the time Phylicia lost her precious life and gave the baby Phylicia’s middle name, Simone. One could only wonder who the baby father is and if she may have conceived little Kyleigh on one of those wild and drunken nights at one of those wild parties from Deena. It’s definitely interesting as she has not been shown with any husband/boyfriend and has always been alone at events for Phylicia. One would think he would be there to support her, especially if he knocked her up.

Bryan Barnes

A Baltimore fire fighter and half sibling of Phylicia who I would really say is a minor player in the story. He has been their spokesperson in the “Staying Focus Campaign” who seems to have 1 goal in mind for this case and that is to “save Deena”. He was in the Peas In Their Pod interview and the 2nd man standing after Deena abruptly hung up when the calls started coming in. Apparently it was too much for Bryan as it was definitely overwhelming for Deena, because he ended up hanging up shortly after Deena. I think Bryan’s mind is going both ways. In my heart I feel he knows the truth or has his own idea, but he has been groomed by Russell that family is first, and Deena is thicker blood than Phylicia, in a sad sense, so his loyalty is with Deena and full-blooded Barnes relatives. He started bashing Mrs. Janice when some truth started coming out, and then he fell silent again. Then he gave a half assed interview to Mr. Adams pretty much reiterating the facts already stated and bringing up that Mike was seen carrying and struggling with something heavy. Then he fell silent again. I kind of have a sympathy for Bryan in a way because I honestly don’t feel that he was involved in any of the hoopla that affected Phylicia’s disappearance or murder. I also have never seen him at any of the parties drinking and smoking with his sister and the rest of the Johnson clan. He also said he has never seen any of it. Now that the pictures have surfaced Bryan, what are your thoughts on what happened to your innocent, sweet baby sister Phylicia now? What are your thoughts on that horrible environment Deena provided Phylicia and those thugs?

William Johnson A.K.A. Kraz

The sex crazed, drug addicted cousin of Mike Johnson. Who at the beginning was kind of not mentioned as much as he is now being mentioned and brought into the mix. He is now said to have been living at the apartment while Phylicia was there and during the beginning stages of her disappearance. He was an active tweeter and seemed to have a hand in on her disappearance and murder. Michael Johnson created a new page under Maurice Johnson and conveniently left Kraz off the friend list. I don’t think that was coincidental considering they all drank, smoked, partied together, and are family. Could it have been possible, he was advised by his attorney to stay away from Kraz. Kraz has been complaining via tweets that he hasn’t been able to sleep lately, could his conscious possibly have been beating on him so and weighing down on him so much he can’t rest? He has tweeted many subliminal tweets that has pondered many’s thoughts and minds. He is very disrespectful to women and took a picture of a nude woman and said he took the picture and whip cream and left. He also tweeted family over everything f everything that’s going on meaning the police investigating them about Phylicia’s disappearance, which shows a heartless son of a b****.

Glenton Johnson

An overgrown/grossly overweight thirty something year old sorry excuse for a man who simply chooses and prefers to hang around and corrupt vulnerable young children. He even posted on Dylane Davis’s myspace page 2 years ago man where da shorties at bones? Dylane is a young teen about 16 years old, so that means he was about 14 at the time, so why would an almost 30-year-old man be looking to a teenager for some shorties? Why not pick on somebody your own damn size? That speaks volumes right there! He is a sickening, pedophile like Mike that preys on younger children and their vulnerability. He was an active tweeter around Phylicia’s disappearance as well. In fact he was the one tweeting put on your boots this is about to be crazy in the snow and complaining about the traffic that day of the 28th on Rollin Bend Road. His tweeted time line seemed like he had enough time to gather up some buds, have a smoke out while riding up to the river/dam, do his dirty work and head back to Baltimore. Which afterwards he tweeted he was so gone he don’t know how he made it back home and that his phone had died during an almost 2 hour time frame.

Dorian Carpenter

Another sex crazed and drunken monkey that liked taking photographs and being photographed. He was spotted in a picture in which him and Kraz was sitting between a woman who looked like she was drinking for the first time. He was pictured holding her arm coaxing her to drink. He was also an active tweeter at a lot of the various parties. He was also seen passed out on Deena’s apartment floor with the group as  well.

Who was actively tweeting the Johnson clan and tweeted various tweets concerning the dam even before Phylicia was found there. Some of her most disturbing tweets. Is s trapped at the dam and something about not pulling  a lever on a dam has been very bewildering and puzzling. It makes you wonder what exactly does she know and what part does she play in all of this and I hope the police has investigated her or looked into her tweets.

Boots & Dylane

The youngest teens of the crowd who were seemingly corrupted by the older clan members. Boots wrote a message on Phylicia’s wall that she should go to school up there. Dylane was said to have been like Phylicia’s best guy friend up there.

Since we have all been following the Phylicia Barnes Investigation . . . we all pretty much know the people involved. I just felt compelled to kind of narrow everybody down. These are my thoughts after reading pretty much everything on the internet. Let’s all pray, and continue to keep her name alive and hope and pray that soon the proper arrests will start taking place. This has absolutely gone on too long. This little sweetie and her family deserves for justice to be served for Phylicia’s sake and their own. She is gone on from this world, but she will forever remain in our hearts.

After Having the opportunity to review Social Media post on Facebook and Twitter from some of those who were either around the day Honors Teen Phylicia Barnes disappeared or were associated with the Johnson clan, it’s clear many of them have something to hide. One of the undated Facebook post threads that I’ve obtained and reviewed were allegedly made the hours, days, and weeks after December 28, 2010. The discussion during a Find Phylicia Barnes Group on Facebook shows Michael Johnson and his older brother Glen taking questions from concern citizens. The thread begins with Glen denying that any of the Johnson males were at Deena Barnes apartment 0n Dec. 27th the day prior to young Phylica disappearing. Michael goes on explaining how he along with his brothers had helped with the investigation until some “big incident occurred”.

“me and my little brother helped with the investigation until the big incident happened. Its alot to this story that u guys don’t know about. Thats why it all seems fishy”

One of the group members expressed to Micheal that the public hadn’t heard what the “big incident” was and asked him if he could elaborate on the specifics of the incident. Michael implied that a certain female (Deena) had him targeted after she learned he had a new girl friend.

“i cant say names of course for legal reasons. But i can say for a fact that ive heard some lies from a certain group of people. My brother and myself were helping with the investigation. until…………… A certain female caught wind of my (New) girlfriend. Next thing i know is i have agents raiding my house towing cars and taking all of my belongings. After that of course lawyers were brought in. That’s why my family is so silent”.

Micheal’s comments regarding not mentioning names shows he has invoked his “no snitching” street code of silence, while referring to the Barnes as a “certain group” of people and Deena Barnes as a “certain female”. Michael said he had been informed lies were being told, and he referenced the “Peas” interview given by the Barnes older siblings.

“Im hearing that its some very very deceitful information on there. And if it is. I will make a post and prove something to you all tomorrow”.

Micheal also said:

“My family is going threw enough. From getting our stuff taken. To being harrassed they are going as far as following us around. They meaning police detectives. They keep asking us all these questions and so forth. i cant give out names (to Poster S.M.). You all know that. And people dont know what happened. They think they know. And all i know is that its a bunch of lies being told and alot being covered up. And i know that for a fact. I keep seeing it on tv. And hearing it. But in the mist of those lies i just dont want my name thrown in the dirt”.

Continuously throughout the discussion thread Micheal Johnson uses subtle comments implying that he has some degree of knowledge about what happened, but seem to be more concerned about his personal property confiscated by authorities, and his family’s image.

“They treat us like animals by locking us away. Then turn around and ask for help with the investigation. And the sad part about it is im sure we can help in many ways. Especially by clearing up some of that misleading information thats being exposed(lies). But its hard to help when your the 1 that their trying to throw the book at. I have PLENTY to say but nothing i can say on fb. Things that only my attorney knows”.

Michael never elaborates on the specifics he claims to “know for a fact” and rationalizes his inability to talk about it based on his having acquired legal counsel. There were many questions posed to Michael regarding Phylicia’s disappearance. One of the main topics of interest was his sudden unavailability during the initial hours of Phylicia’s disappearance. I have continuously questioned why Michael never spoke to the little girl’s mom when she arrived in Baltimore. Michael confirmed that he was in fact told to stay away.

“I would have looked her in the eyes and talked to her. But a certain individual told me not to come over to the house. And thats the truth. I would have talked to her the same way i talked to the father. And the uncle. And the rest of the fam”..

Michael confirmed that he did in fact speak with an uncle and I suspect that it was Baltimore Police Officer Sgt. Robert Jackson, Russell Barnes’ half brother. He also confirmed reports that Phylicia was exposed to alcohol and Marijuana.

“there was alcohol/marajuana involved since she’s(phylicia) has been here. That’s a fact. Im 100 percent sure of that. But i dont know about the 27th. I wasn’t there that night”.

I wonder if any of that information was shared with Russell and Sgt. Jackson. This could actually be one of the reasons that Michael was told to stay away from the apartment. Once the Police were notified, Michaels statements would have been very damaging to Deena Barnes, and his having been directed to get loss appears to be a deliberate attempt to preempt him from disclosing that information to authorities investigating the case. Although there is no determination whether Michael has since given an account to Police regarding drugs and alcohol pertaining to Phylicia, at least in the very beginning efforts were made to delay knowledge regarding it, and could have bought time so that potential evidence like forensics could be destroyed. This is very problematic for the prosecution in this case, because Sgt. Jackson’s intervention, even if it was in an official capacity, creates bias and prejudice toward any information that was obtained from individuals questioned by him. Also, Janice Sallis-Mustafa revealed publicly that she spoke with Police over the phone minutes after learning her daughter had gone missing. It’ must be determined if the Police Officer she spoke to was actually dispatched through KGA (911 system) or whether that Officer was in fact Sgt. Jackson. Russell who has recently admitted that he called his brother, could have had Jackson respond to Deena’s apartment instead of 911 having been called. There is a clear distinction between the two. If Jackson simply went by Deena’s, there is no record within the 911 recording system. If that’s what in fact occurred, it’s explosive and vital information for the authorities in this case. The F.B.I. should determine if Deena or anyone else called the cops via. 911 and obtain those recordings. This is extremely important because Sgt. Jackson could very well have Quarterbacked the manner in which information was relayed to Baltimore Police in the beginning, coupled with Michael’s admitted, but undisclosed knowledge on record regarding specific details of the case demonstrates the Johnson and Barnes Families may all be collectively complicit in what happened to Phylicia Barnes.

Moreover, the Twitter accounts of many of the males who were actually there the day Phylicia went missing, or were known to have frequented Deena’s apartment shows their complete lack of concern and interest that Phylicia was missing before, the day of, and days after. Take a look:

The Johnson males, their relatives, and friends have been very silent since Phylicia’s ending. Micheal Johnson’s Facebook post reference at the beginning of this article highlights his rationalization that the reason they are silent is because they are being harassed. However, none of them ever mentions anything about their innocence in Tweets among themselves what so ever. I find it troubling that these individuals could simply go on as “business as usual” considering a child they all knew, hung out with, and some who apparently were comfortable enough with, actually took their clothes off and ran around nude with her, and yet they seem to display no concern about what happened to her. In my mind their lack of interest speaks volumes. In fact, a couple of the post shows just how uncaring they are:

Assuming that “the man” comment was a reference to Police, we can only wonder what Kevin Johnson or any of the Johnson clan had to hide that day. It could be coincidence, which I seriously doubt, but it is indeed very interesting to say the least. The public will have to develop their own perspective on this information.

Perhaps the most interesting and alarming Tweet that has been discovered is a tweet by @b3uteful, a ex-girlfriend of Dorian Carpenter, and a close friend of Gelnton “Bootz” Johnson. The subject Tweet was posted on January 28, 2011 nearly 3 months prior to Phylicia Barnes being discovered nude in the Susquehanna River in Northern Maryland.

Phylicia’s body along with another person the cops reported being unrelated to the case, were both discovered near the Coniwingo Dam. It’s puzzling that a female associated with some of the males close to the case would make an inference to a dam three months before Phylicia’s body was found. What’s trapped at the dam? Could that have been Phylicia at the dam the female was refering too? Also, I am wondering what she meant by “don’t pull the lever”. The comments create suspicion that she may have knowledge regarding how Phylicia ended up at the dam and more importantly who took her there. Did the “don’t pull the lever” comment mean that Phylicia was alive at the dam? The Tweet implies something, considering she is closely associated with members of the Johnson clan, and she should be brought in for questioning ASAP regarding the murder of Phylicia Barnes before she strangely disappears also. Our young people seem to lack basic common sense and knowledge of the law. Involvement in a crime even after the actual criminal act was committed and not reporting it, is just as bad as the person who did it, and typically results in the prosecution of parties involved while pursuing the exact same punishment for all participants in every aspect of a crime. Her Tweet may bring this entire ordeal to it’s conclusion. I pray it does just that.

The sounds of a desperate mom rang out over the airwaves as Janice Sallis-Mustafa cried pleading to the public for information that would bring young Phylicia Simone Barnes home safely to her family. I recall hearing that interview as media played a clip highlighting the disappearance of a beautiful Honors Teen who had gone missing while visiting family in Baltimore City. The night the broadcast aired I recall feeling that the story was not a typical missing persons case. I started having flashbacks about another little girl named Chanel Petro-Nixon whose body had been discovered by a sanitation crew, on a busy street corner in Brooklyn, New York, and left to rot like common trash. Like Phylicia, Chanel was a straight A Student who had gone to fill out a job application, and to hang out with friends. Chanel’s killer has never been found. Janice’ voice was filled with passion and I heard her loud and clear, cutting through me like a knife piercing through my soul down to the very fiber of my being. Her cries were a parent’s worst nightmare. I will admit I became alarmed instantly and began to fear the worst without the benefit of even Knowing the complete story. In the initial period of learning about this child’s disappearance I became extremely critical of Janice herself, after learning that young Phylicia, a 16 year from the rural south, had been allowed to travel to a gritty town like Baltimore alone, but relatively soon my ignorance was revealed when I learned the child had made several previous trips there without incident. I followed the case very closely like most concerned parents in the public, hoping and praying for the little girl’s return unharmed. Sadly, she never did make it back to her sister’s Northwest Baltimore apartment, and local Police began soliciting help from National Media. The cops made it a point to convey that Phylicia wasn’t an ordinary teenager, she had never been in any kind of trouble, and the child had no reason to run away or wonder off without contacting a member of her family. Soon after, I began reading comments posted on social media sites where people had posted concerns and suspicions about her disappearance, and cited possible involvement by the child’s sisters. I learned that her siblings had given an interview on “Peas In Their Pods”. I went to the site and listened to the Blogtalk Radio Broadcast and became disturbed instantly regarding what I heard. Without going into explicit detail related to particulars that aroused my suspicions, I’ll simply say that the subtle laughing and whispering that occurred during the interview was completely unsettling for me. I mean, the show was being aired to aid in learning the whereabouts of a child. A child that just happened to be their little sister. I walked away from that show, like other listeners I”m sure, feeling that the account offered by the child’s sisters related to the events that led up to her disappearance simply did not add up. The women’s apparent apathy coupled with the gut wrenching and very heartfelt pleas Janice had made on television, angered me. I became empathetic to some of the post I read in which the public expressed doubt in the accuracy and honesty of the sisters account about what occurred on December 28, 2010. The women were void of seriousness at times, lacked authentic grief, and their public posture was completely unacceptable in the wake of their baby sister having gone missing under their watch. I am completely unaware of what these women have told the authorities about this case, but at least during the “Peas” Interview, it appeared that they were being deceptive. Their actions or lack there of on this day were not logical, and The time line of events they offered were confusing. I don’t know what fears they may have had at the time. I don’t know if they had something to hide, but I am convinced that they both lied about what may have happened to Phylicia Simone Barnes. I began Blogging about Phylicia’s story and it appeared, baring a few updates from the media, that know one was talking about the child’s case publicly. I remember a few more “Peas In Their Pods” broadcast airing interviews with her family, but it just simply seemed the case was falling from public spotlight, while investigators quietly continued to do their work. In everything that I read and watched on the news, I continued having serious concerns of what Phylicia’s Baltimore family were saying. I began to delve further into the case analyzing aspects of the crime from the very beginning. Along the way I perused social media sites belonging to many of the males who were around during the time Phylicia went missing. To my surprise, there were a plethora of images, comments, and other interesting material that offered a perspective challenging the character, integrity, and culture among the adults supervising this young child. Eventually, my research led to me reaching out to Janice directly. What the little girl’s mom told me fueled the public’ suspicions and confirmed that there were lies told from the very start. Chiefly, Janice had been assured by Deena Barnes that upon Phylicia’s arrival there would only be her and Phylicia staying at the apartment. Janice admitted to me that she was misled after discovering that there were also three males actually staying at Deena’s while young Phylicia came to visit. Janice also confirmed rumors that individuals close to the case were in fact related to Baltimore City Police Officers. This added an extremely disturbing element to the entire ordeal that may have shed insight to the slow development of the case. The mother’s comments sparked debate on my blog and in social media as a whole, which resulted in a debut appearance by Barnes Family members who responded to some of the shocking revelations that Janice offered about the case. It was discovered later on that much of what the grieving mom said was more then likely correct and the public’ interest in the case grew. Many have come to the site as well as other forums to express their support for the Barnes Family, the Johnson males, and disputed the growing suspicion that many held of those close to Phylicia in Baltimore. There are people who have attacked me via email and comments in social media regarding the many articles that I have posted about the case. These perspectives range from, my lack of objectivity in the case, calling my motives for writing about Phylicia’s story entertainment seeking, and circus like. Through it all I’ve stayed the course on what I set out to do, keeping the little girl’s name in the public, and continuing dialogue to help find out what happened to this innocent child who died for no reason what so ever.

With that being said, I am now compelled to express my honest opinions about this senseless murder mystery. The Barnes older sisters are in fact liars, their dad has aided in their complicity to conspire a cover up of the killing of this beautiful child. Russell Barnes’ half brother Robert Jackson, a ranking Baltimore City Police Officer ran interference in the case alerting family members of details related to the investigation of this Capitol Crime. Deena Barnes’ apartment was ground zero for the murder, crime scene, and conspiracy. The lack of forensic evidence and other data at that apartment, which are typically associated with serious crimes, and the confusing accounts or lack of knowledge by those close to the child about what happened to her, clearly demonstrates a meticulous effort was made by the girl’s family and Johnson males to conceal the events that resulted in the killing of young Phylicia Barnes. I am also convinced that Federal, State, and Local authorities investigating this crime are not in the dark regarding the perspective that I describe. Though I have publicly disclosed elements that I have learned about this case, much of my discovery as not been mentioned out of fear of jeopardizing progress in the case to bring justice for Phylicia and her family that we all desire. People have inquired why the case matters so much to me, and to those inquiries I will say this. Far to long have cities like Baltimore been plagued with crime by evil, heartless, uneducated, and uncivilized individuals who are nothing more then pure trash. The kind of cowardice punks who lurk in the shadows scheming and plotting to prey on the most vulnerable within out communities. They breed within a culture of lawlessness incapable of consideration or compassion for humanity. These people derive from subcultures where alcoholism, drug usage, and violence are cultivated by their families who never loved or cared enough about them to invest in their development as productive citizens within our society. Though we realize that many crimes originate from poverty and other social disparities, the heinousness of Phylicia’s killing is nothing short of dregs from the streets, posing as wannabe thugs who picked on a defenseless female child, and their lives must be taken to rid civilization of their very memory for ever. Deena Barnes’ conduct was paramount as she condoned the exploitation of an extremely beautiful little girl, promoting Phylicia’s nudity in the presence of males whose sexual desires reached murderous lust for her natural beauty, and resulted in her killing. Brutal sex crimes and murder happen in our society all the time, but crimes that occur as the result of actions by the victim’s own family, who later seek to conceal it, reaches a new and unique level of sickness and pervertedness rarely demonstrated in modern times. I desire her spiritual and mortal demise greater than those who actually perpetrated this crime. The ability to take human life is phenomenal and we must take measures to insure that violence is eliminated from our lives. We must also consider the nature of young people in this generation, wonder how often do we see children who simply do what they are told, go to school and get good grades, and have not fallen into the lures of the streets. Phylicia Simone Barnes was not the only good kid in America, but she most certainly was of that minority. So, what happened to this child matters to me. It matters because her short life was cut down senselessly without provocation. We must protect our children, especially our female child, and those who are lurking in the shadows of evilness must be removed from the streets. To those who have displayed their displeasure with my work on the little girls case, I might suggest that you frequent blogs that promote your position, because I will not relent seeking and championing justice for this child.

On the anniversary of the tragedy that resulted in the death a Monroe, N.C. Honors teen Phylicia Barnes, the attorney for suspect Micheal Johnson gave an interview in the Baltimore Sun, boldly, and arrogantly stating, “It’s not progressing”. The attorney also charged that a Baltimore police officer who is related to the girl interfered in the early stages of the investigation. “It disheartens me, how they went about this. It’s like the Keystone Kops.” Read the entire article Here. The attorney’s interview confirmed suspicions that the public has held from the very start, and a point that I have continuously eluded to in many Blog Post this entire year. The fact that there were ranking Police Officers with close ties to potential suspects in the case, who may have also been involved in this murder case in the beginning has always been a “disturbing element” of this entire ordeal, and has now been confirmed to have in fact occurred. Russell Barnes acknowledge that his half brother Sgt. Robert Jackson was telephoned by him when news first broke regarding Phylicia’s disappearance. Russell stated, “That’s my brother — why wouldn’t I call him? I would have called him if he was a mechanic or a plumber,” he said. It probably is natural instinct for people who have Law Enforcement within their family to contact them when possible crimes have occurred, but Jackson should have had common sense to know better, solely based on a possible conflict of interest, integrity, and basic ethics as a supervising Police Officer. Jackson’s intervention early on creates a window for possible suspects to escape accountability, because his very presence, whether as a civilian or not creates prejudice for any information that Police may have obtain regarding Phyilicia’s disappearance and subsequent murder very early on in the investigation. If it is established that any information obtain by Police derived from Jackson’s questions to potential suspects, it is highly doubtful that a sitting judge would allow such testimony to be entered in a criminal trial. This is completely upsetting, stupid, and creates an inferno to feed the public’ suspicion that the Barnes Family has something to hide pertaining to the murder of this child. Also Micheal Jphnson’s attorney is posturing, strategizing his clients defense, and these efforts are very transparent considering the magnitude of these facts. If the Counsel of a Defendant could have testimony eliminated that places his client in a position in which they were the last person to see a murder victim alive, the chances of obtaining a conviction are greatly diminished. Not just that though, possible “Police Intimidation” and other biases can now be utilized by the defense. This tactic is clever and an apparent attempt to preempt what many believe to be an imminent arrest of Michael Johnson.

Moreover, the chickens have come home to roost regarding the widespread public belief in the complicity of Deena Barnes in this murder case, as the attorney also offered insight as to why Federal Investigators sought Facebook and Email accounts of individuals close to the case. In July, an FBI agent filed a document in U.S. District Court seeking access to the Facebook accounts of Phylicia and Deena Barnes, as well as those of Johnson and at least one other person. In the document, the agent wrote that it was part of a child pornography investigation, but officials have declined to explain that angle of the case. These facts prove that deena Barnes was indeed under the microscope of the F.B.I. regarding potential crimes that may have occurred in the wake of young Phylicia’s tragic story. The rumored reports stating that 4 men from Baltimore were targeted in the warrants has been determined not to be correct. The attorney said Johnson was asked about the “streaking” photos, and that Johnson said they were taken at a party at Deena Barnes’ apartment. He also revealed that he has seen the photos, which were not shot the night of her disappearance, and show people running around nude inside and outside of Deena’s apartment. This is an extremely tearful discovery for me and many within the public I am sure. Our suspicions and fears have been established. What will the Barnes say now to the allegations that Deena Barnes herself allowed her studious baby sister to indulge in such lude acts in the presence of grown men. Any further defense by the Barnes Family’s attempt to offer rationalizations that Deena did not corrupt, expose Phylicia to drugs, alcohol, and other improper activities are in effect shattered. I question the timing of the attorney making these facts public, and I believe that an interview I posted here on the TPC blog is directly related to this information. Now that the public is aware that Micheal Johnson is more then likely one of the main suspects in this murder mystery, it is not convincing that the public dissemination of these revelations at this particular time were not orchestrated to counter what Bryan Barnes revealed in my interview with him. The attorney could have made these facts known long ago. The fact that neighbors who can place Micheal Johnson in the stairway struggling to carry a large tote, are not only facts that has made a public debut, but it is also extremely compelling and strong circumstantial evidence against the attorney’s client. I think it is very convincing now that Deena Barnes may face some level of Criminal Implication, but those charges probably won’t amount to the heights of murder which point directly at a probable suspect in this case. The attorney is slinging mud, but the public already knew Barnes Family members were involved. This effort has fallen flat. I’m continuing to follow this story as it develops.
