Late Breaking In Barnes Teen Murder Case: Motion For Protective Order Reveals Witnesses Lives May Be In Jeopardy

Just 6 days after Maryland prosecutors filed a motion in Baltimore Circuit Court requesting the court room be closed when Deena Barnes takes the stand as a witness for the state and while a video recording is played showing late murder victim Phylicia  Barnes, her older half-sibling Deena Barnes, Deena’s ex-boyfriend (accused killer Michael Johnson), and Michael’s younger brother engaged in sexual relations, motions were filed today for a Protective Order. Case information from Michael Johnson’s upcoming January 22, 2013 murder trial for allegedly killing the late honors teen reveal Baltimore Circuit Court of Maryland filings shows a Protective Order was sought today January 3, 2013. It’s unclear exactly who requested protection, but it establishes that a concern exist for individual(s) safety who may be connected to the case. In Maryland such a request is typically sought by an individual to obtain relief from abuse by another person for domestic violence, child abuse, and vulnerable adult abuse, etc. Some states allow for such motions to hinder disclosure of information pertaining to information within a court case, but in Maryland such concerns are normally resolved by a judge issuing a Gag Order prohibiting parties involved in high-profile cases from releasing sensitive details about pending court cases to the media or public. Today’s motion most certainly relates to concerns or apprehensive fear indicating parameters exist conducive to conclude that some form of abuse has in fact occurred. It’s not likely that such a filing derived from motions for Michael Johnson’s defense, but highly speculative that the request was made by state prosecutors who are planning to present witnesses that may testify with damaging culpable evidence against Johnson. During Johnson’s Bail Hearing judge John A. Howard denied bond for Johnson citing that “he is a danger to public safety, especially for those closest to him”. That statement gave early indication that there may be relatives or close friends who have made statements to police against him. During the case’ arraignment the state produced over 17,000 pieces of discovery evidence detailing their case against Johnson. Much of that evidence probably contains statements from witnesses who have been interviewed by police related to the Barnes teen murder. One of the more noted potential witnesses in the case is possibly Danisha McIntosh who tweeted on January 28, 2011, and just a month after the Barnes teen disappeared, “it’s trapped at the dam, don’t pull the lever”. State Police were actually made aware of that information from the public and it has tremendous baring on the case, because Phylicia Barnes’ nude body was actually found at the Conowingo Dam in Northern, Maryland. That tid-bit of information may have led cops to Johnson considering Danisha made the tweet months before Barnes was even found and establishing that many within the Johnson circle along with others known to have frequented Deena Barnes’ apartment where young Phylicia was staying, probably had insight on where the child’s body had been discarded, and Danisha McIntosh also just happens to be the ex-girlfriend of Dorian Carpenter who is a Johnson Cousin that was one of the people initially interviewed by police surrounding the Barnes teen disappearance. TPC eve published an article late last year expressing concerns that McIntosh’s life could been in danger because of the tweet she made, and considering the violent reputation of some of the males that were known to frequent Deena Barnes’ apartment. Additionally, Deena could be in danger herself after the revelation emerged that she had sex on tape with her kid sister. Once that information became public the social media community went ballistic on her, calling Deena Barnes everything from a rapist, child molester, and murderer. One poster on social media even said, “Janice Sallis should get a baseball bat and beat her to death”. Such drastic and violent response from the public is typical in heinous criminal cases of this nature. It’s explosive, dangerous, and alarming that the public has become aware of such disturbing details in a child murder case. It is in fact important that measure be taken to insure the safety of Deena Barnes and other potential witnesses in this tragic murder case. The public is also very agitated at the fact that Deena Barnes attempted to sway public perception in the case, by blaming Michael Johnson for her sister’s murder. During a Peas In The Pods interview Deena was asked about a rumor indicating that Phylicia may have fallen asleep on top pf Michael on the sofa. Deena sternly denied such allegations on the show indicating that nothing remotely close to that was going on at her apartment while her baby sister was staying there. Deena also publicly denied that she had allowed her little sister to use drugs and drink alcohol, but the recent Circuit Court filings demonstrate that the state is prepared to disclose in court that she has been lying about these facts. It’s not just the fact that she gave young Phylicia drugs and alcohol, but she allowed males to have sex with her in her own presence while someone recorded it. These facts coupled with her blatant lies from the very beginning is the direct result of people within the community potentially wanting to harm her. Once Michael Johnson was actually arrested and charged with killing the child, TPC that filings in his criminal case revealed a demand for a chemist. This also may show that the state intends on proving that drugs and possibly alcohol was in the teens system around the time that she was killed, and further discounting the lies that many people involved in the case including Deena had originally told the police. Now that the case is shaping up to show a more clear picture surrounding what actually happened to pretty young Phylicia Barnes the rats and roaches who are actually responsible for the child’s demise may have began to scatter running for cover. The sheets have been pulled off of Deena Barnes’ dirty business and there also maybe individuals preparing to make certain that she along with others never make it inside a court room to try and clean up her dirty act and blame this murder on any and everyone else other than herself. It’s not inconceivable that Michael Johnson and his family are incapable of silencing witnesses to save his own neck. This kind of witness tampering has occurred before and Baltimore is known for such antics. Years ago a high profile drug dealer name Anthony Jones ordered hits on several witnesses scheduled to testify against him in his Federal Drug Dealing case. The hits were carried out after someone with the Correctional Staff at the Baltimore City Detention Center smuggled a cell phone into the facility. The Feds actually obtained recordings of Jones ordering the hits after hours that the facility allowed inmates to use the phone. So, anything is possible when it comes to silencing a witness that may send you to prison for the rest of your life. Then again, there is also street justice. The kind of justice that circumvents the law by removing undesirables who committed crimes lack this against innocent children. In the event that something of this nature occurs related to Deena Barnes, I don’t think there would be much outcry for justice like the public has demanded for the killing of her baby sister Phylicia Simone Barnes. Ray Lewis Retiring From NFL: Ravens Gladiator Grew Up In Baltimore Before Our Eyes

There are countless personal accolades that will certainly land Baltimore Ravens leader Ray Lewis into the Hall of Fame for his tireless efforts, passion, and contributions to one of America’s most beloved sports. His leadership on and off the football field is unmatched even within the ranks of some of the most notable players who ever suited up on the gridiron. Now that he has in effect announced his retirement from the game, there are countless stories being told about his life as an NFL great. Ray Lewis brought a new meaning to manhood in Baltimore when he was drafted to the Ravens, and there has been a constant love affair with this man of conviction, principle, and dedication to being the absolute best. Ray’s constant message and teachings about life served as an aid while mentoring young people within a city gripped with poverty and crime. It’s also very ironic that Lewis himself also fell prey to violence early on during his career. A year before Ray led the Ravens to the team’s sole Super Bowl tittle, he found himself shackled, and standing before a judge in Atlanta related to a double murder case. Ray’s arrest and involvement in such a heinous crime sent shock waves around the city of Baltimore and the entire football league. A sigh of relief came when charges were dropped against the future Hall-of- Famer. That entire ordeal seemingly changed Ray Lewis’ outlook on life, to self, family, and the community at large. In short, whether Ray Lewis likes it or not there was a certain responsibility attached to the stardom he acquired as the Ravens leader on one of the most dominant defensive squads in the game. Though Ray will be widely known for his athleticism, aspects of his life may be the most valuable source of  guidance to inner city youth in towns like Baltimore. When Ray was identified to be the person who had rented the limousine that reportedly had fled the scene of the murders, Ray tried to cling to the street code of silence by attempting to conceal exactly who was present, and riding in the vehicle with him. That poor decision on his part isn’t one of the more admirable aspects that we know about his character, but what he later had the courage to do his without doubt more descriptive of the characteristics of manhood he has been advocating. Ray decided to except responsibility and owned up to his mistake. Ray Lewis may have been a great football player during the time of these legal troubles, but perhaps we all forget that he was also a human being. One of the worst issues that plague modern society is the desire and perception of acceptance being a definition of loyalty. While some say Ray Lewis was a snitch for testifying against friends in this criminal case, it fails logic that any one could possibly conclude such a thought. The facts are that no one accused Ray Lewis of killing anyone and his mere presence during the crime is what brought his troubles. As a famous athlete Ray Lewis fell prey to “guilt by association”. Now it’s probably unfair for Law Enforcement to hold Ray hostage for a crime based solely on his popularity and status in life, it’s an unfortunate and raw deal, but Ray’s youth aided in his own vulnerability as well. He tried to protect friends by withholding information from the police and was subsequently charged with obstruction of justice. That’s not being a snitch by any definition of the term. I mean, what was the guy suppose to do, continue lying about a crime he didn’t commit while potentially losing everything he had worked for? I don’t think so. Those of us who know about the negativity, isolation, and stigmatization of having been labeled a snitch are well aware of the impact such a situation fosters. More intelligent minds have resolved that not only did Ray Lewis do the right thing on behalf of himself and his family, but his actions should have been commended and not subjected to ridicule from others who are completely void of righteousness what-so-ever. This was an extremely powerful message that Ray sent to young people similarly situated in instances where they find themselves embroiled within the criminal justice system. I am proud of of the man Ray Lewis has become not only as a Football Great, but as a human being as well. We have witnessed some great things from the likes of Ray Lewis, and one lesson in particular is the example he exemplified to young people within the city of Baltimore and across our nation. In life change must come, and the maturity of Ray Lewis happened before our eyes while he played football in Baltimore. This aspect of the person we all now and know as Ray Lewis is just as much a part of the legacy he left for everyone that will resonate in the hearts of many forever. Ray Lewis is a Football Legend, the last real Gladiator of modern time, and we will never forget what he did for the citizens of Baltimore.

The Honors Teen Phylicia Barnes Murder: Making Sense Of This Tragedy

First and foremost I would like to thank the hundreds of readers who have come to The People’s Champion Blog in the past 48 hours to gather information related to this horrific case. News of the disturbing details related to activity which most certainly led up to the untimely demise of Janice and Raheem Mustafa’s little girl is a bitter pill to swallow. I won’t even attempt to imagine the pain these parents are now enduring in the wake of learning that their child was subjected to abhorrent sexual exploitation behavior spearheaded by the child’s half-sibling, because I can’t. I can’t describe the pain that any parent might feel in such a disgusting scenario. In fact I do feel comfortable speaking on behalf of these parents when I convey to you that such animalistic and perverse kind of human conduct was never a characteristic of the parenting style they utilized while raising Phylicia Simone Barnes. I also can say with conviction that the details outlined in a Maryland state prosecution motion highlighting the fact that there is video evidence which reveal the child engaged in sexual relations with her older half-sister, the sister’s boyfriend, and his younger brother comes as a complete shock to her parents as it more than likely has to the public . Furthermore, I am convinced that such discovery has deeply hurt the child’s mother in light of the fact Janice Mustafa has consistently conveyed her strict parental guidelines she has established for all of her children. When a parent labors in a child’s development through love, support , and example only to see them dissipate mortally because of poor decision making on the child’s part, it may foster hurt, anger, and disappointment from the child’s parents. However, we must remind these same parents of the vulnerability which children often encounter while away from their normal living structure, and that teenage children in particular often fall prey to adults who violate trust, manipulate, and extort children’s innocence to exact sexual abuse and other perversions upon them. Often times predators use material, deceit, and other tangibles to carryout sexual desires. In Phylicia’s case drugs and alcohol were the weapons of choice in youthful destruction. Some have made it a point to now case dispersion and innuendo upon the character of this kid without  clear understanding of the entire case. Calling the child a trashy 16-year-old is completely unfair when she was undoubtedly a standout among her peers, a scholar, and headed to college a year early. These facts dismiss the notion that Phylicia was anything of the sort. Her home life was structured and her mother was firm out of love for her, and mother Mustafa’s actions in rearing her child isn’t inconsistent with the norm of parenting an attractive daughter. Janice Mustafa describes her child as a silly, fun loving, book smart, but a naive up and coming young lady. Her success at such a youthful time in her life was certainly admirable and inspiring, but we must also realize and never forget that Phylicia was a child, and there were suppose to be safeguards to protect her while in the care of supposed family visited in Baltimore. For two years the Barnes Family in Baltimore have literally played the media and a concern public like a game, presenting themselves as caring family, god fearing people, and wanting justice for Phylicia. As one follower of this case put it, “What was in the Dark has now come to the Light”, and we must ask what the Barnes family have to say now considering that Deena Barnes actions exposed the child to heinous, ungodly, and criminal behavior that ultimately led to her baby half-sister’ death. When we look back at images of Barnes family members parading the streets of the city attempting to gain assistance in finding Phylicia, and their solicitation to the State Legislature to pass Phylicia’s Law is upsetting because Deena Barnes is responsible for what happened to Phylicia. However, I am not downplaying the significance that such a law will accomplish in assisting other families when their children go missing, but the fact that you and a grown man actually had sex with her on tape, and then attempt to create deception that you are unaware of what may have happen to her speaks volumes about the depth of your sickness and sadism. Perhaps Phylicia Barnes made bad choices while under the care of her half-siblings, but clearly Deena Barnes and her friends manipulated this impressionable child, and may have even drugged her with “date rape” drugs to satisfy their sexual desires of this incredibly beautiful kid. I won’t speculate on matters I can not prove, but something went drastically went wrong for Phylicia to take off her clothes and engage in this kind of activity. I am reminded of the conversation that I had with Janice Mustafa who told me that her child was so modest about her body that she felt uncomfortable when she walked in on Phylicia while she was undressed. When news first broke regarding possible nude images of Phylicia being discovered, Janice told me that if those reports were in fact accurate about pictures of her daughter in such a compromising position that Phylicia had to be completely intoxicated, and the state has confirmed this mother’s fears. Moreover, Janice Mustafa warned the public last year about the Barnes family and what they were capable of. She gave TPC a powerful interview about her life with Russell Barnes who never wanted Phylicia and even beat her in an attempt to cause her to have a miscarriage while she was pregnant with Phylicia. She was even attacked by followers of this case who called her crazy, bitter, and a liar. Where are these people now? Where are all of the Barnes family members, Russell Barnes, Bryan Barnes, the aunts, and uncles who all collectively tried to place sole blame upon Michael Johnson and his relatives for what happened to Phylicia? At the end of the day we may learn that Johnson family members were actually responsible for killing Phylicia and discarding her body, but the Barnes family certainly can not stand on a righteous pedestal and condone the actions and behavior of Deena Barnes. I recall during the “Peas” interview when one of Dena’s aunts called into the show and tried to berate callers who were suspicious and asked tough questions. That woman sounded crazy and now looks even more crazier now that we know that her “precious” niece apparently had a desire to have sex with her own little sister who was a child. I am sure we won’t hear anymore from the likes of these people who were certainly in denial or knew all along what happened to Phylicia. It’s just completely upsetting that there was an attempt to sway the public’s perception that there was no wrong doing on the Barnes’ part in this horrific crime. It has all been nothing short of a charade when at the very least Deena Barnes knew that the video recording of herself, Phylicia, Michael Johnson, and Michael’s younger brother would eventually be made public. So, for the record we all should be very clear and intelligently discern for ourselves, that attacks upon Phylicia and her parents are insane when they only espoused to create a well rounded consciousness and social interaction with their child’s genealogy. Unfortunately, the Barnes family only reciprocated with darkness, cruelty, and despair. Lastly, Deena Barnes boldly kept the video recording on her cell phone even while the police were actively investigating this case, probably for self pleasures, and only further confirms her shameless irresponsibility which destroyed  innocence. What an evil, wicked, and satanic legacy!

This is a video of Phylicia Barnes with her baby sister kidding around, and also offers a glimpse of the child’s character and home life. The notion that some would call this child trashy is absurd.

In contrast, here is a video which demonstrates the public perception of a child who was inspirational to many with Deena Barnes appearing to have authentic grief while all along knowing what she had done.

Justice For Honors Teen Phylicia Barnes: Prosecutors Confirm Teen Had Sex With Older Half-Sister And Two Other Males In An Intoxicated State Captured On Video

Many from the public expected to hear more disturbing details about how young Phylicia Barnes was murdered in Baltimore back in 2010 once her accused killer criminal trial begins, but some of the disgusting details have already began to emerge with state prosecutors filing court motions in the upcoming January 22, 2013 criminal trial of accused killer Michael Johnson. The state filed motion that they plan to play a video of Phylicia Barnes highly intoxicated, having sex with Michael Johnson, his younger brother GlentonBootz” Johnson, and her older half-sibling Deena Barnes. The court filing also indicated that the state will request to have the court room cleared while the tape is played during the phase of the trial when Deena Barnes testifies. The state expressed concern that the tape contained two minors in the recording as cause for clearing the public from the court room. TPC has already reported that the volume of attorneys having filed their appearances in the case, along with other motions requesting for a joint trial of defendants, and other factors indicated that criminal charges were possibly being filed against others along with Michael Johnson in the teens murder. The recent filings clearly demonstrates that Deena Barnes is in fact a witness for the state against her ex-boyfriend Michael Johnson. These court filings also clears up a lot of the case’ missing pieces, as it’s now clear why Federal authorities pursued a child pornography angle in the case earlier this year, and also explains why Facebook accounts along with email accounts of the parties contained in the sex video were sought by authorities. There has always been a public outcry for Deena Barnes to own much of the fault for what happened to her young half-sibling, but it appears that Deena may have played her trump card and gave prosecutors what they needed to finger Johnson as the child’s killer. The tape alone is certainly sufficient grounds to charge everyone with statutory rape who were depicted having sex with the Barnes minor, but it’s not unusual for Baltimore prosecutors to cut a deal enabling them to reel in a larger fish. Also, we can expect Johnson’s younger brother to appear as a state witness as well, because he hasn’t been charge with statutory rape for having sex with a minor child either. The state’ posture has literally dropped an atomic bomb on the defense and I expect that summations during the trial will offer the explanation that the Barnes teen was murdered to silence her from exposing the sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her older half-sibling and her demented and sick friends. However, the Barnes family can literally go to hell now with their attempts to protect Deena Barnes from any wrong doing in this murder case now that these disturbing, twisted, and abhorrent details have been made public. The sex tape answers many of the public’s questions regarding the Barnes sisters suspicious behavior in the days and months after Phylicia went missing. The laughter and carefree attitudes during the “Peas In Their Pods” interview, coupled with the blatant lies that Deena Barnes told Janice Mustafa before she allowed Phylicia to visit Baltimore, and Kelly Barnes mysteriously not going by Deena’s apartment to pick Phylicia up as planned on the day she went missing demonstrates that they both were more than likely conspirators in what ultimately happened to the pretty honors teen.  It is very compelling and convincing that Deena Barnes’ failure to notify Phylicia‘s custodial parent once she went missing, her having contacted her father who notified his brother (a Baltimore cop), and the bogus story offered to police that the child went to get something to eat was part of a conspiracy to buy time while concealing what they all already knew, that Phylica was dead! The statements made by Deena and Kelly during the Peas broadcast shows that there was in fact a consistent attempt to disassociate themselves from Deena’s apartment on December 28, 2010, and we now know why. The fact that prosecutors are prepared to establish that Phylicia was (what can only be described as gang raped) raped by Deena and her friends, there probably were similar activities occurring during the party rumored to have taken place at Deena’s home the night before her disappearance, and the child was probably murdered before the 28th. Some followers of this story have theorized that Michael Johnson was probably the person responsible for killing Phylicia, was told to clean up his own crime, and resulted in his carrying the child out of the building as prosecutors allege. I am not totally convinced by that perspective, because minutes before Michael Johnson said he last saw the child, his younger brother GlentonBootz” Johnson tweeted “don’t tell her twice, whoop her ass”. I have always believed that “Bootz” was talking about an uncooperative Phylicia Barnes. Glenton and Michael were also riding together in a car that day, when “Bootz” tweeted to another Johnson relative, William “Krazy” Johnson that he and “Ease” (Michael Johnson’s nickname from an Xbox Video Game) had put some grass (Marijuana) in the Hooka (paraphernalia used to smoke pot) and were high after the first puff. “Krazy” tweeted back “Ease hit it too?” , appearing surprised that Michael who was known for his dislike of marijuana, had also smoked pot. I believe that Michael was under tremendous stress that day because he was in the process of discarding the teen’s body. We could probably theorize what happened to young Phylicia Barnes for years, but what is now clear, her half-sibling Deena Barnes is just as culpable as Michael Johnson in the senseless murder that took the life of this precious child, and Janice Mustafa‘s position that Deena Barnes’ malicious behavior set the stage for savages to molest and murder her child has finally been confirmed. I am personally livid after having learned of these horrible circumstances that led to the untimely demise of such a promising child. I have been honored to speak with Phylicia‘s real parents Raheem and Janice Mustafa on various occasions while covering their child’s murder. The Mustafas are in fact God Fearing people who raised their daughter in a structured home, and the fact that they lost Phylicia in this  fashion is not only heartbreaking but unconscionable. For the record, it should be known that I find Deena Barnes to be a despicable, vile, and vicious bitch who deserves instant death. I pray for vindication for Raheem Mustafa, Janice Mustafa, and their precious daughter Phylicia Simone Barnes. God speed.

Justice For Honors Teen Phylicia Barnes: A Mother’s Trust & The “Wicked Half-Siblings”

She has made it known from the very start that most of the blame for her daughter’s senseless murder should fall upon the door steps of Deena Barnes. Janice Sallis-Mustafa has even said she believes that Deena should go to jail longer than the man accused of killing her pretty little girl, because Phylicia Barnes was left in her care while she visited Baltimore over the Christmas Holiday back in 2010. Perhaps that’s a pretty harsh position to hold, but such a perspective is certainly the grieving mom’s prerogative, and considering the circumstances it’s a well deserved indictment. Janice had allowed her daughter to visit Baltimore City several times in the past before the infamous December 28, 2010 visit, with Phylicia returning to her hometown of Monroe, North Carolina unharmed after those trips. Mrs. Mustafa had a lengthy dialogue with Deena prior to allowing Phylicia to visit her half-siblings and most of that discussion centered around the mom’s expectations pertaining to the manner in which her daughter would be supervised. The Barnes teen was more familiar with a structured environment in a two parent home from a small rural southern town. According to Janice, Deena Barnes had advised her that she and Phylicia would be the only people staying at her Northwest Baltimore apartment during the duration of Phylicia’s stay. In Janice’ mind that’s where the trouble began, because not only was there others staying at her apartment, they were older males, and a culture of drug and alcohol usage was a routine occurrence while the child visited. Janice said that Deena told blatant lies regarding her home life when she knew Phylicia would never have been permitted to travel to Baltimore under such conditions. Though many have criticized her for allowing her daughter to travel to Baltimore, Janice’ anger stems from the deception that Deena displayed during that initial discussion prior to Phylicia traveling to visit. Janice Mustafa simply trusted the Barnes family (chiefly Deena Barnes) with the care of her precious daughter. The culture that existed at that apartment  wasn’t conducive for any teen, let alone a naive book smart kid from the rural south. Sadly, it wasn’t discovered until after Phylicia went missing that the child had been allowed to drink alcohol and smoke marijuana. There were also other signs on December 28 that must raise suspicion. When Phylicia went missing Deena Barnes never even telephoned Janice to advise her that something had gone wrong. Instead, Janice acted on a gut feeling and called Dena after she was unsuccessful trying to reach her daughter  via cell phone. Deena called her father Russell Barnes, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia to tell him that Phylicia was missing instead of the child’s mother who was Phylicia’s custodial parent. There is a lot of speculation as to what actually occurred after Russell was contacted. Russell Barnes called his step-brother, a Baltimore City police officer,  who showed up and began questioning people. In the confusion it was conveyed to police that the teen had gone to get some food. It’s unclear who actually told the cops this, but that statement caused police to conclude that the child may not necessarily have been in danger, and some say it bought her killers time to either dispose of her body or destroy crucial forensic evidence that could have linked someone to her murder. The police didn’t treat Phylicia’s disappearance as a missing persons case until she missed her January 6, 2010 flight back to Monroe. However, Janice Mustafa was given shocking information  regarding the kind of atmosphere her daughter had been exposed to prior to going to Baltimore to look for Phylicia. One of Phylicia’s peers became distraught believing something horrible may have happened to the teen, and told her mother that Phylicia admitted having been allowed to drink vodka and smoke pot during her trips to Baltimore. Janice said the child became upset and concerned she hadn’t revealed to adults sooner what Phylicia previously had told her. Upon Janice arriving in Baltimore she confronted Deena Barnes with the information that Phylicia’s friend had revealed to her. Janice said Deena admitted allowing Phylicia to engage in that kind of activity while under her care, and stated “she was only a one puff girl”. Janice also said the child’s biological father (or sperm donor as she calls him) Russell Barnes also said, “When I was young my uncles allowed me to smoke pot”. Janice said she became furious because Phylicia had never been allowed to participate or engage in that kind of activity.  Deena Barnes as denied allowing Phylicia to engage in drugs and alcohol to the media, but TPC was  sent images of the young men who lived and hung out at Deena Barnes’ apartment engaging in the exact same kind of activity that Phylicia’s friend told Janice that her daughter was also allowed to engage in. The pictures display a party atmosphere with vodka and marijuana present, which is exactly to the letter what the child described to Janice. Janice said her daughter was a flower before she began to interact with her half-sibling Dena Barnes. From an objective standpoint Janice’s revelation of these events has always held credibility considering the urgency of locating Phylicia at that time, and the fact that the mother had no motive to tell a lie on Deena. When the images surfaced it only fueled a public perception that Deena Barnes more than likely had lied and may not have been forthright with Janice regarding what happened to her daughter. Additionally, The Barnes half-siblings gave a disturbing interview on a TPC affiliate Blogtalk Radio Broadcast with the Nationally recognized “Peas In Their Pods”. During that interview comments by Deena and her younger sister Kelly Barnes troubled listeners, as their account of the day Phylicia went missing was void of resolving important details about the child’s disappearance. There was laughter in the background, Deena and Kelly both had trouble recalling information under direct questioning, and their overall demeanor appeared wasn’t consistent with relatives whom had lost a younger member of their family.  The interview also resolved rumors regarding who actually was living at Deena’s apartment. Deena confirmed that her boyfriend Michael Johnson and his cousin William Johnson were both actually living at her home while Phylicia was visiting. This contradicts what she told Janice Mustafa prior to Phylicia initially having traveled to Baltimore. A pretty young girl in the midst of older males engaging in drugs and alcohol spells trouble almost every time. The main reason Janice talked with Deena about supervision stems from her concern of not having her daughter exposed to a negative environment, but that’s just what Deena Barnes exposed the child to. Moreover, some of the blame must also fall on Kelly Barnes as well, because she was scheduled to pick the child up the day she went missing to go shopping for beauty supplies, and make a hair appointment. Kelly who says she was scheduled to get off that day early never made it by Deena’s apartment to pick Phylicia up. This aspect of the case continues to bother many, and Kelly Barnes has never publicly explained why she never went by the apartment to get Phylicia. In fact, deena admitted during the Peas Interview that Phylicia would travel to work with either her or Kelly each day, but the only day the child doesn’t accompany neither of them just mysteriously disappears. We may never actually know the answers to many of the questions regarding that day which continue to linger, but the fact that this pretty little girl was left alone with older known drug using males creates suspicion that will never dissipate until her killer(s) are known. Janice Mustafa has the right to be angered by this senseless tragedy and her description of Deena and Kelly Barnes as the “Evil Half-Siblings” is justified while considering how they failed to protect this precious child under their care. Justice must come for this precious child who only trusted people who were suppose to protect her.

The Phylicia Barnes Murder: Murdered Honors Teen Killer(s) Could Walk With State Facing Baltimore Jury

The state of Maryland alleges that Michael Maurice Johnson strangled pretty Phylicia Barnes in his ex-girlfriends northwest Baltimore apartment, and carried her body out of the building in a large container. A witness told cops Johnson was seen in the hallway of the building struggling to carry a large tote, walking one step at a time, and sweating profusely. This was around the time Johnson told cops he had last saw the teen on December 28, 2010 the day she went missing. The account given to police by a neighbor living in the same building where the teen stayed with her half-sibling Deena Barnes over the Christmas Holiday, raises serious suspicion but is only circumstantial. The state will have use other evidence to create a compelling argument that the Barnes teen was in fact inside the container Johnson carried out the building that day. Johnson has since told police that he was moving weights when the witness saw him. Other culpable evidence the state has made public include nude images of the Barnes teen with Johnson and other adult males streaking inside and outside of Deena’s apartment. The images were discovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (F.B.I.) on Johnson’s cell phone. Johnson 27, had also exchanged over 500 text messages with the 16-year-old child in the months leading up to her 2010 visit to Baltimore. Barring the introduction of incriminating forensic evidence, these details appear to be the strongest and most damaging factors that implicate Johnson in the teens murder. However, social media post by Johnson clan members offer more clues into exactly what Johnson’s activities were on the day Phylicia Disappeared. Johnson claimed to have been moving personal belongings out of Deena Barnes’ apartment, but Twitter post by Michael’s younger brother Glenton “Bootz” Johnson suggest that the pair were riding in a car around the time Michael said he last saw Phylicia. One of the tweets depicts Glenton telling someone “don’t tell her twice, whoop her arse”. Glenton also tweets about the volume of his speakers, which is interesting considering another Johnson brother Delanie found the door to Deena’s apartment ajar, with loud music inside, and Phylicia no where to be found. It’s clear that the state has to track Johnson’s movements and location after he claims he last saw the child. The state has subpoena for GPS data of two cell phones and may suggest that they intend to prove that Johnson wasn’t where he said he was during this time frame. Other evidence also can be obtained with that information. The state claims that Johnson had a thing for the pretty teen and is in fact responsible for her nude body being discovered floating in a river. The GPS locations along with cell phone pings to cellular communication towers offer a blueprint of a phones data usage (text, email, etc.), and locations where the phone actually drew it’s data link from. Cellular towers pinpoint the proximity and area that all calls and internet usage derive from. This information could be the state’s strongest evidence against Johnson depending upon what they know, and hasn’t been made public for prosecutorial purposes. It’s always helpful to have witnesses who can place suspects at locations where evidence is found, but no actual crime scene has ever been established for the Barnes murder or at least the state hasn’t revealed that such forensics exist. Without extremely damaging tangible evidence against Johnson, the state’s case on its face is completely circumstantial. This possibly spells trouble for the prosecution especially with the case going before a Baltimore jury. The city of Baltimore has long had a reputation for producing suspect juries from a town where anti-police sentiment is strong. Even some of the more heinous crimes committed against the people have resulted in acquittals seemingly for no other provocation other than the mere inference of police misconduct. Unfortunately for many prosecutors, police misconduct is directly responsible for juror’s perspectives in criminal cases being swayed to conclude reasonable doubt exist. Baltimore’s criminal justice system is corrupt and many cases are ushered into a backlog of court dockets that result in plea deals for defendants who rightfully belong behind bars. A city paralyzed by crime has justice for its citizens constantly eclipsed within a system where deals are meted out on golf courses, and other recreational venues for criminals who can afford pricey lawyers well-connected to a political process that mocks representation of the people. In the Barnes case, Johnson’s defense argues that the leading detective violent his client’s rights and committed other acts of misconduct while continuing to harass him during the investigation. These allegations gain momentum because of the departmental charges facing Det. Nicholson alleging he used his police powers to illegally gain entry into homes in search of his runaway daughter. The defense will also certainly argue that such conduct is systemic in the manner in which Nicholson conducts all cases that he is assigned, and potentially creating reasonable doubt in the minds of jurors who may become sympathetic to their client especially with the defense now claiming to have a witness whom says he saw the teen days after she was reported missing, and also may conclude that Nicholson may have conducted himself improperly in the Barnes case as well. Baltimore is a rough town leading the nation with the most uneducated African-American community in the country. The thought process is backwards in Baltimore related to discerning right from wrong, and the city’s culture is widely predicated on street codes of silence regarding crime. In Baltimore the bad guys often get away solely because the mindset is that cops are the bad guys. It would be a complete shame and devastating if the state is unable to sway a jury that Michael Johnson did in fact kill young Phylicia Barnes. The road to finding justice for Phylicia Barnes and her family continues to be an uphill battle, and her killer(s) just may walk in this senseless and tragic story.

Breaking News In Phylicia Barnes Murder: Defense Set To Produce Alibi Witness Who Claims To Have Seen Honor Teen Alive After Missing Person Report

Nearly two years after the pretty teen honors student from Monroe, North Carolina went missing, subsequently found floating nude in a northern Maryland river, and after the teen’s half-sibling Deena Barnes’ ex-boyfriend was charge with her murder attorney’s for Michael Johnson tells news media that the child was seen alive days after reports surfaced that she was missing.  Defense attorneys for Michael Maurice Johnson say they intend to call an “alibi witness” named Robert Hickman Fields when the case comes to trial in January, court documents reveal. Johnson was charged with murder April 25 in the high-profile disappearance of the North Carolina teen. Investigators worked the Barnes teen case for months with several leads that eventually were unsubstantiated. In this sudden and strange turn of events, a person has apparently come forward claiming to have seen the child in Cecil County Maryland. Cecil County is where the child’s body was discovered floating in the Susquehanna River by state department of environmental workers. It’s very interesting that Robert Fields never contacted any of the law enforcement agencies investigating the Barnes case to inform them of this information. Barnes’ case made national media headlines, her picture was posted on bill boards all over the state, and despite the highly publicized media attention the child’s case garnered Fields never notified anyone until now. More importantly, it’s rather convenient and quite suspect that Johnson’s Attorney could mysteriously produce a witness with such explosive testimony nearly two years later. The report doesn’t offer details on where he saw the teen, whether she was in the company of anyone, and the exact date of her sighting. Considering every detail that has been made public about the case, Field’s testimony could be a deciding factor on whether or not his counsel can successfully establish reasonable doubt that Johnson may not have killed the child as the state alleges. However, if this mystery witness claims are true it raises questions as to where the Barnes teen was staying and who she was with several days after she was reported missing. During the initial stages of her disappearance investigation Baltimore City Police believed the child may have been moved from various locations. Field’s claim of seeing Barnes days later confirms early reports that she was still alive. It will be very interesting to see how these new developments pan out once the case goes to trial on January 22, 2013. Court filings also reveal that the defense has requested internal affairs records of Baltimore Detective Daniel T. Nicholson IV who was the lead detective in the Barnes case. Nicholson was suspended by the department after complaints were filed that he improperly used his badge to gain entry into homes without a warrant while searching for his teenage daughter. Nicholson had also faced prior criminal charges related to a domestic violence case related to his child. Those charges were eventually dropped on condition that the family sought counseling.  Johnson’s defense also claim that Nicholson is guilty of misconduct related to the Barnes murder investigation. The defense says that Johnson and his brothers Glenton, and Glenn were taken into custody and questioned for hours related to the Barnes disappearance. Attorney Neverdon says Johnson was held for over 17 hours handcuffed to a bench while Nicholson and other officers drilled him about the Barnes teen. Nicholson is also accused of menacing Johnson, while taking his car without a warrant, calling and showing up at his job on several occasions, and continuing to harass him over the Barnes disappearance. Although these are unsubstantiated claims by the defense, it’s clear that Johnson’s attorneys are attempting to attack the credibility of police investigators handling the case, in what appears to be a desperate attempt to sling as much mud as possible on the case with the hopes of appealing to potential jurors, and establishing police misconduct. Baltimore is well known for shaky juries that have come to some very questionable verdicts during criminal cases where police misconduct has been alleged, and despite overwhelming evidence that suggest defendants were in fact guilty. Fortunately for the state, an eyewitness who claims to have seen Johnson struggling to carry a large container out of Deena Barnes’ apartment around the time Johnson allegedly last saw the teen on the date she went missing is very compelling circumstantial evidence that could be extremely damaging to his defense. Also, pictures/videos discovered on Johnson’s cell phone with the Barnes teen, Johnson, and other adult males streaking nude inside and outside of Deena Barnes’ apartment creates a strong perception that Johnson may have developed sexual desires for the very pretty teen. The discovery of over 500 text messages between the Barnes youth and Johnson is also damaging to his defense as well. Other details recently revealed in the Barnes murder case indicate that prosecutors have file motions in an attempt to acquire GPS data for two cell phones. It’s believed that the phones belong to Johnson and the Barnes teen. That data could provide even more damaging information for Johnson’s defense if further evidence is obtained exposing intimate interactions with Barnes via text message, emails, etc. TPC reported previously in other articles related to the Barnes murder case that GPS data would prove to be very telling in this case because Twitter and other social media post by several parties connected to the case were incriminating, and provided a blue print of some coded and subliminal communications possibly implicating Johnson clan members in the Barnes murder. While Johnson’s Attorney attempts to deflect suspicion away from their client, it appears that the final disposition of this case will fall into the hands of a Baltimore Jury, and recent history demonstrates that this could potentially spell trouble for the prosecution if sympathetic jurors deem Johnson as another victim of police misconduct. The quest for justice in discovering who killed Phylicia Simone Barnes continues while her family and the public waits for answers.

New Town Connecticut School Massacre: The Day That All Of America Cried

I am rarely lost for words especially considering that I am a person who enjoys writing. The horrific ordeal that occurred in New Town, Connecticut on December 14, 2012 has rendered me completely numb. The crime was so severe, so heartless, and so devastating that I am still unable to even write about the stories of those beautiful babies and their teachers who died for nothing. Please indulge me with this audio of my personal perspective on this American tragedy.

Strange Fruit In Dover Delaware: Attempted Lynching Victim Arrested After Dover Police Cover Up Exposed

Once Henry Fordham went public about his ordeal of having escaped a near lynching, he was arrested for parole violations by the Delaware State Bureau of Parole & Probation. Sources claim Fordham was taken into custody less than a week after he gave an interview with the radical “War On the Horizon” organization. Fordham was charged with after state officials say he was no where to be found. Fordham had been staying with relatives at a New street address. City police officials say the home where he was living was a half-way house, but it has since been learned that Fordham’s aunt actually owns the dwelling. news of his arrest adds another twist to a bizzare case that continues to gain momentum in social media. Concern over three possible cases of violence spanning nearly two years, with police officials seemingly unwilling to treat the cases as race hate crimes, and creates suspicion that police may be involved in a cover up.  Join History Professor Dr. Jahi Issa and Political Activist Doug Beatty tonight on Blogtalk to discuss “An introduction to reports of lynchings, attempted lynching, and an official cover up in Dover Delaware.” Listen to tonight’s broadcast below!
