About the Journalist

David B. Adams is an independent journalist, crime writer, and founder and editor of The People’s Champion, an independent journalism and commentary platform established in 2010.

Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Adams brings a perspective shaped by poverty, urban life, professional investigative experience, and concern for the human consequences of institutional failures.

His published work examines criminal justice, disputed convictions, missing and exploited children, government accountability, racial inequality, civil rights, and overlooked American history.

Through interviews, examination of legal documents, case research, historical study, and editorial analysis, Adams seeks to bring meaningful scrutiny to stories that may otherwise disappear from public attention.

His independent reporting and commentary have followed criminal cases for years, including the Phylicia Simone Barnes homicide proceedings and contested convictions in Illinois.
